Land Use Outreach

As part of the development of the Land Use Policy Framework and the associated Land Use Map, the City conducted a series of pop-up events and workshops.

In order to solicit feedback from the community on proposed areas of change, the staff-consultant team conducted nine “pop-up” feedback events located within proximity to possible areas of change at the following locations:

Additionally, two in-person workshops on Saturday, September 21, 2024 and Wednesday, September 25, 2024 were held and approximately 100 people attended. The community workshops focused on soliciting feedback on the land use alternatives outlined in the Framework more specifically than the individual policies.

Feedback received at the Pop-Ups and workshops was presented along with GPAC and Planning Commission feedback to the City Council at the October 21, 2024 City Council meeting. The feedback was also used to develop the draft areas of change map that will be presented to the City Council in February 2025.
